![]() | This site is dedicated to my mother, Nadia, who passed away, May 18, 2006. An avid Swing Dancer during the 1940's and 50's, Nadia......Jumped, Jived and Boogie Woogied to the Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, Tommy Dorsey and countless others in the famed ballrooms of New York, Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Nadia gave me my "first" dance lesson in 1973, showing me how to do the basic "Box-Step", in preparation for my Junior/Senior High School Prom. Those memories will last me a lifetime. I had the pleasure again to Waltz with Nadia, thirty years later, in 2003. Nadia serves as the inspiration for this site. |

| My love affair with dancing began in 2003 and my only regret is that I didn't learn to dance 20 years ago. Dancing three to four nights a week in West Central and Southwest Florida, I'm often seeking out live bands to dance to. Aside from East Coast Swing, I enjoy Ballroom and Salsa dancing too. Always learning, I strive to maintain a strong lead and a gentle touch with all of my dance partners. Dance List Florida was developed as a result of a strong desire to seek out more dancing venues. Phone directories had limited resources and Internet websites were often outdated and inaccurate. Dance List Florida fills the need for those want to know where to go dancing tonight! When I'm not dancing, I'm the President of The Stanleigh Group of Companies..... Stanleigh Bay, Stanleigh Enterpises and Art Deco Textile Industries. Shall We Dance? I thank you for visiting my site......Rick |
